# Dos and Don'ts
Your [[Live guides]] should help players improve in the long run, not win a given game. Competitive games work because each player get the same amount of information about the game and other players. We make sure the [[Guide Editor]] doesn't allow you to create [[210 Tips|Tips]] that would give players an unfair advantage. Don't try to predict information we don't provide like enemies' positions, health & resource bars, or spell cooldowns. You will be wrong most of the time and you will go against Zar's rules. With that said, below are some guidelines to make sure your [[Live guides]] remain published.
>[!tip] Rule-of-thumb >Always focus on macro-level guidance rather than micro-level management.
**Example** 🚫 “*You should kill Cassiopeia right now as you are currently stronger than her*” ✅ “*Ekko spikes hard with one item while Cassiopeia is a three-item champion. From now on, you have more pressure on your lane*”.
## Do’s ---
### Teach long-lasting knowledge Always ask yourself if the players can learn something from the [[210 Tips|Tips]] you create. When they have played enough games with your [[Live guides]], they should be able to apply what they have learned from you, even if they stop using your it.
### Focus on macro-level guidance Help players recognize patterns, learn new behaviors, understand their roles and matchups, focus on the right objectives, and all other things you can think of, but **don’t try to micromanage them**.
### Trigger critical thinking Help players get out of autopilot by asking questions and providing multiple suitable solutions. [[210 Tips|Tips]] shouldn't be blindly followed by players but should help them think about the game and their decisions.
## Don'ts --- - Micromanage the player by telling them exactly what to do in the immediate future (next 10 seconds), especially if it involves an enemy player. - Talk about killing a given enemy at a precise moment. - Try to predict enemies' precise positions in the fog of war. - Try to predict a precise action that would be performed by a given enemy player in the immediate future. - Try to predict enemies' HPs or resource bars. --- #### Links to this page - [[Start here]]
