# Triggers <br> [[Triggers]] are one of the two elements that compose [[210 Tips|tips]]. They specify, during a game of League of Legends, when a [[210 Tips|tip]] should be displayed. A [[Triggers|trigger]] can be very basic, like checking the *game time*, or very advanced, like checking *which waves are pushing*, or *where the player is currently located*. -> [[Templates, Select , and Search|The three methods to add triggers in your tips]] When you combined [[triggers]] together, you create a [[Scenarios|scenario]]. For example, for a specific [[210 Tips|tip]] to be displayed, you could need that *the player is alive* AND *located top side* AND *the wave is pushing* AND it's *the mid game*. The great majority of [[210 Tips|tips]] mostly use the **AND function**, which means that for the [[210 Tips|tip]] to be displayed, all [[triggers]] must be valid at the same time. In the [[250 Custom|Custom]] tab though, you can also use the [[optional scenario (OR function)]]. If a [[210 Tips|tip]] use the [[optional scenario (OR function)]], it means that the [[triggers]] in the optional scenario don't need to be valid for the [[210 Tips|tip]] to be displayed. <br> --- #### Links to this page - [[Start here]] - [[250 Custom|Custom]] - [[Default view]] - [[230 Items & Abilities|Items & Abilities]] - [[220 Matchups and Synergies|Matchups and Synergies]] - [[210 Tips|Tips]]
