1. Update to the latest version of Zar and restart the app

### I can't find my confirmation email.
First, check in your spam folder. If you don't receive anything and you use an uncommon or old email provider, DM @xEc with the email address you want to use.

### How to use Zar?
First, your game needs to be set in "**windowed borderless**": When you are in-game, press **ESC** -> **video** -> **Windowed Mode** -> **Borderless**. After that is done, simply let the app run in the background. You will receive recommendations while you play, on top of your screen, and extra information can be accessed while pressing Tab.

### The overlay isn't working
Make sure you are running the game in **Borderless** and then completely relaunch the Zar app by navigating to the Windows tray, right-clicking the Zar icon and selecting _Quit_.
If you switched to Borderless through the Zar app, **make sure your League config file isn't set to read-only**. If it's still not working, try to deactivate hardware acceleration in the settings or by right-clicking the Zar icon in your Windows tray and deselecting Hardware acceleration.
If things are still not working, it could be tied to some entries missing from your Windows path. To check if this is the case and fix it, follow those steps:
1. Click the Windows start menu
2. Search for cmd and open it
3. Type echo %PATH%
4. The output should at least contain those: `C:\Windows; C:\Windows\System32; C:\Windows\System32\Wbem; C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0`
5. 6. Reboot your computer

### How to customize the overlay?
Go to the **Preferences** tab in your app , in the **In-game** -> **Overlay** section! You need to have played at least one game with Zar open.

### Why do I keep hearing an alert sound?
It's just there to inform you that you got a new recommendation.

### How do I update Zar?
When you see an update message in the [dev-updates](https://discord.gg/tV6N9VmNxR) channel on Discord, your app will automatically ask you to update it to the latest version.

### Will Zar get me banned?
You will not get banned for using Zar since it doesn't give you any unfair advantage in-game and it doesn't interfere with the player experience whatsoever. We regularly update Riot Games about our new features and improvements, so that we can guarantee we're always safe to use. Zar has created many different tools for LoL players over the past two years and dozens of thousands of players have enjoyed it since then. ### Which regions are supported?
Any region for the in-game features. EUW, NA, and EUNE only for the post-game and profile.

### When is Zar coming to my region?
As soon as possible! We are committed to making Zar fully available in all regions. Note that most features (and all the in-game ones) already work everywhere, and the mainly affected feature is the draft.
<br>
### Can I change Zar default language?
You can choose between 11 different languages for the Zar Macro Guide (Guides -> Downloaded -> Role guides). We are working on making the app fully localized, so you can expect to be able to use it in your own language soon. In the meantime, some live guides could already be available in your language, and if they are any, it's maybe the time for you to create the first one!

### Does Zar support full-screen?
This is currently not possible, but we'll support this in the future.

### Is Zar available on macOS?
Zar is currently only available on Windows. There is no plan to release on macOS at this time.

### How do I export my logs?
Click the⚙️ icon in the top left corner of the main app window, then hit the "Export Logs" button.

### My League client isn't detected in Zar
Zar needs to be run with equal or higher privilege than LoL, that is, Zar won't work if LoL is run as Administrator and Zar is run normally. Make sure that is the case and then relaunch both the LoL client and the Zar app.
If that doesn't solve it, it could be due to _WMIC_, a core Windows command-line tool, missing from your path. To add it, follow those instructions: [https://exitcode0.net/adding-wmic-command-to-the-windows-path/](https://exitcode0.net/adding-wmic-command-to-the-windows-path/ "https://exitcode0.net/adding-wmic-command-to-the-windows-path/") Take a second to make sure that `C:\WINDOWS` and `C:\WINDOWS\system32` are also part of your path. -- don't forget to reboot your computer when it's done.

### I'm experiencing performance issues

Try switching to **using DX9 in League**, directly from the Zar app settings page (⚙ in the top left corner > _LoL game renderer_ > _DirectX9_).
You also want to make sure your drivers are up to date. If that still doesn't help, you can try **disabling hardware acceleration** and/or **enabling low spec mode** from the app settings (⚙️ in the top left corner).

### My screen turns black when I launch a game.
Disable **Hardware Acceleration** in the zar app settings.
